For grown-ups
Kids Money Blog teaches money basics to kids aged about 9 to 13. Posts are written for kids to read on their own, but they work even better read together.
How posts are made
Every post starts with research from Canadian sources, such as the Bank of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, and the Canada Revenue Agency. Each post lists its sources at the bottom, under "Where these facts come from". Where rules differ by province, we use Alberta as the example and say so.
How to use it with your kid
- Read a post together, then play with its game or calculator.
- Ask your kid to explain the big idea back to you in their own words.
- Try the idea for real: a savings jar, a grocery budget, a goal chart.
Privacy
This site collects nothing. No accounts, no comments, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The games run entirely in the browser and forget everything when the page closes. The only thing stored is the light or dark theme choice, and that stays on your device.
Not financial advice
Posts teach general ideas. They don't recommend any bank, app, or product.
